Who can say no to a chocolate dessert that requires few ingredients and is quick to make?

2 packages of Schär's Millefoglie Puff Pastry
200 g homemade hazelnut praline (see recipe here) or ready-made
1 beaten egg for spreading the puff pastry before baking
brown sugar for decoration before baking (optional)
 icing sugar for decoration (optional)
1

Defrost the puff pastry according to the instructions on the box.

2

Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.

3

Place parchment paper on a large oven tray and lay out one puff pastry. Don't mind if it breaks in some places because with baking it will come together and not be seen.

4

Spread homemade hazelnut praline or ready-made praline well on the puff pastry.

5

Place the other puff pastry on top and cut it into the desired shape.

6

If we want to make Christmas trees, look at the figure below that I give you. You will make 2 trees. Cut into strips to make it look more like the branches of the tree, but also will be easier to cut it into portions more easily after baking.

7

Beat an egg and brush the puff pastry on top.

8

Optionally sprinkle with brown sugar.

9

Bake at 180°C/350°F for about 20 minutes.

10

For an impressive effect before serving, sprinkle some icing sugar to make your trees look like they have snow.
